Order Striking
PAPERLESS ORDER. THIS CAUSE came before the Court upon the Parties' Joint Notice of Selection of Mediator. 15 . Therein, the Parties state that the "mediation will occur via Zoom or other suitable videoconference technology." Id. at 1. However, in its Paperless Order of Referral to Mediation, the Court emphasized that the "physical presence of counsel and each party with full authority to enter in a full and complete compromise and settlement is mandatory," and that the "mediation shall take place in person absent good cause shown by the parties." (ECF No. 11). Here, no showing of good cause has been made as to why the mediation should be allowed to proceed virtually, and therefore the Parties are not excused from the Court's requirement of in-person mediation. Accordingly, the Notice 15 is STRICKEN as it does not comply with this Court's Paperless Order of Referral to Mediation. The Parties may seek leave upon a showing of good cause to mediate remotely or refile a compliant Notice. Signed by Judge K. Michael Moore on 3/26/2026. (ss01)
