   PAPERLESS ORDER denying 145 Markel American Insurance Company's Motion to Compel Answers to Deposition Questions of Non-Parties Holland & Knight LLP, Jesus Cuza, and Rebecca Canamero, and for Leave to Resume Their Depositions. The Court has reviewed Markel's Motion and the non-parties' response [DE 158] and finds that no reply is necessary for the Court to rule. The depositions at issue were conducted on July 6, 2026, and Markel waited 10 days to file its Motion. Discovery closed on July 2, 2026. [DE 116]. Further, Markel has already filed its motion for summary judgment [DE 152]. The Court will not extend the discovery deadline and allow Markel the opportunity to reconvene the non-parties' depositions at this juncture. The discovery and dispositive motion deadlines have already passed, and Markel has not established any actual reason that it needs the additional testimony sought other than to claim that the non-parties failed to comply with the Court's June 12, 2026 Order [DE 138]. The Court therefore denies the Motion on this basis. Moreover, after careful consideration of the briefing and all relevant materials, the Court further finds that much of the additional information sought is duplicative, cumulative, or irrelevant under Fed.R.Civ.P. 45 and 26(b)(1), and the Court denies the Motion on those bases as well.
