Telephone Conference Order on Motion for Discovery
MINUTE ENTRY AND ORDER: A Telephone Conference was held on June 18, 2026 before Magistrate Judge Peggy Kuo. Justin White, Esq. appeared on behalf of Plaintiff. Evan Kwarta, Esq. appeared on behalf of Defendant.
The Court denied Plaintiff's request to depose Defendant's employees who stated that there was a broken tray table at seat 12C in the document bates-stamped REPUBLIC 000009 ("Republic Document") (See Joint Letter, 31 at 1-2.) The burden on those employees outweighs the likelihood that such depositions will result in testimony that both employees incorrectly recorded the defect in the same way. Defendant is directed to provide a more detailed interrogatory response, verified by a representative of Defendant, as to why the Republic Document is unlikely to be inaccurate.
