MINUTE entry before the Honorable Edmond E. Chang: On the motion to file amended complaint 77 , there is no statement of conferral, contrary to Judge Chang's Case Management Procedures, R. 7. But amendment would be automatically allowed in response to the most recent dismissal motions. And the sprawling pro se complaint has already generated inefficient litigation and 79 docket entries in the case's infancy. It also appears likely that at least some defendants would not be named in an amended complaint. So, despite the absence of conferral, the motion is granted. ***All*** prior motions (including any filed by the pro se Plaintiffs) are terminated without prejudice. The amended complaint shall be filed by 06/26/2026. The Court does not expect that an extension would be needed. The Court notes that at least one of the now-terminated dismissal motions challenged service of process, R. 31, so the Plaintiff's counsel should be aware of the potential need to promptly serve (or obtain waivers from) defendants in the amended complaint. The tracking status hearing of 05/29/2026 is reset to 07/10/2026 at 8:30 a.m., but to track the case only (no appearance is required, the case will not be called). Instead, the parties shall file a joint status report by 07/03/2026. Mailed notice (mw, ) (Entered: 05/28/2026)
