   MINUTES OF Pretrial Conference and Motion Hearing held before Judge Stanley Blumenfeld, Jr.: The Court heard from the parties as to pretrial matters and motions in limine. The Court continues the Final Pretrial Conference to 8/7/2026 08:30 AM before Judge Stanley Blumenfeld Jr. The Court orders as follows: (1) The parties are ordered to meet and confer regarding Defendants' third and fourth motions in limine 93 , 94 . No later than 5:00 PM on August 5, the parties shall file a joint statement providing offers of proof detailing the evidence they intend to introduce about alleged timecard manipulation. In the joint statement, Defendants shall also file a response to Plaintiff's offer of proof regarding damages, which remains due at 10:00 AM on August 4.    Defendants filed a motion in limine to exclude evidence of undisclosed or unsupported damages calculations. Dkt. No. 94. In his opposition, Plaintiff identified the specific amounts of damages he seeks but did not address how he intends to prove those damage calculations at trial. No later than 10:00 A.M. on August 4, 2026, he shall file a detailed offer of proof identifying the evidence on which he will rely to support his damages calculations. The parties are ordered to meet and confer immediately following the pretrial conference regarding their joint proposed jury instructions, which appear to contain numerous factual and legal errors and are inconsistent with the instructions included in Defendants' trial binder. Among other issues, the proposed instructions do not address California law as applicable to Plaintiff's FEHA claims; they also fail to distinguish between Plaintiff's race and age-based claims, fail to clearly set forth the applicable standard of causation for each claim, and do not consistently identify the relevant adverse employment action at issue. The parties are further ordered to meet and confer about the applicability of Lloyd v. Cnty. of Los Angeles, 172 Cal. App. 4th 320 (2009) to Plaintiff's claim for wrongful termination in violation of public policy. The Court expects the parties to thoroughly discuss each proposed instruction and identify any disputes in the manner set forth in the Court's standing order.
