TEXT ORDER: The parties' request for an extension to the deadline to complete expert discovery is GRANTED to July 20, 2026. An in-person settlement conference is scheduled for September 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The senior attorney in charge of the case and client(s) with full settlement authority shall appear in person at the Martin Luther King Building & U.S. Courthouse, 50 Walnut Street, Courtroom 4(d), Newark, New Jersey. On or before August 27, 2026, the parties shall submit confidential letters of five (5) pages or less to Chambers summarizing the relevant facts, legal disputes, status of the case, and their respective settlement positions. Please send the papers via email to jra_orders@njd.uscourts.gov. The dispositive motion briefing schedule is held in abeyance pending the outcome of the settlement conference. In the meantime, the parties are strongly encouraged to continue settlement discussions in order to resolve the matter without court intervention. The Court expects the parties to be prepared with the supporting facts and legal authority relevant to their positions and to readily exchange that information with each other. Minute Entry for proceedings held before Magistrate Judge Jose R. Almonte. A status conference was held on June 8, 2026. The Court discussed the status of expert discovery and settlement with the parties. The Court granted the parties' request for an extension to expert discovery deadline. The Court will schedule a settlement conference with the parties. As such, the Court will hold the dispositive motion briefing schedule in abeyance pending the outcome of the settlement conference.
