Order of Dismissal or Administrative Closure
ELECTRONIC ORDER Administratively Closing Case:
Before the Court is the parties' Joint Motion for Trial Continuance, Extension of Pre-Trial Deadlines, and to Vacate Mediation Requirement (the "Motion") (Doc. No. 65). The parties state that they have been in extensive settlement negotiations and are "actively finalizing a settlement to resolve all pending claims" in this case. Doc. No. 65 at 1-2. As a result, the parties request an extension of the trial date and the remaining pretrial deadlines set forth in this Court's Amended Scheduling Order (Doc. No. 57), and they also request that the Court vacate the mediation requirement set forth in the Court's December 4, 2025 order (Doc. No. 64). Id. at 1.
Having carefully considered the Motion, the Court finds good cause for the requested relief. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 16(b)(4). Accordingly, the Court GRANTS the Motion. However, the Court finds it judicially efficient to VACATE the trial setting, all remaining pre-trial deadlines, and the mediation requirement set by the Court's December 4, 2025 order. The Court will reset these dates by separate order if necessary.
There appears to be no further reason at this time to maintain the file as open for statistical purposes. The Clerk is, therefore, instructed to submit a JS-6 form to the Administrative Office, thereby removing this case from the statistical records. Nothing in this Order shall be considered a dismissal or disposition of this case, and should further proceedings become necessary or desirable, any party or the Court may initiate such further proceedings in the same manner as if this Order had not been entered.
