ORDER signed by the Honorable Edmond E. Chang: Pursuant to the inquiry at R. 79, counsel for Claimant-Defendant Marie Oracin emailed the courtroom deputy to report no objection to unsealing the motion for order of interpleader disbursement, R. 78. Emailed notice (mw, ) (Entered: 01/14/2025)

MINUTE entry before the Honorable Edmond E. Chang: On review of the docket, Claimant Marie Oracin (who won the judgment on the interpleader) has filed two ex parte motions, R. 77, R. 78 to disburse the deposited funds. The motions appear to be duplicates, so R. 77 is terminated. With regard to R. 78, it is not clear why the motion was filed ex parte. It is true that Oracin has won the judgment and the funds should be disbursed (no notice of appeal has been filed), but an ex parte (and thus under seal) filing appears unnecessary. On or before 01/17/2025, Oracin shall either (1) file a supplement to the motion explaining why the motion should be considered on an ex parte basis; or (2) email the courtroom deputy, michael_wing@ilnd.uscourts.gov, to say that there is no objection to unsealing the filing. To track this one issue only (no appearance is required, the case will not be called), a tracking status hearing is set for 01/24/2025 at 8:30 a.m., but to track the case only (no appearance is required, the case will not be called). Emailed notice (mw, ) (Entered: 01/14/2025)
