   Before the Court is the proposed Discovery Plan and Scheduling Order (ECF No. 18 ) through which the parties seek an initial 240 day discovery period. The Court finds there is nothing extraordinary about this case that warrants an initial discovery period of more than 180 days. Breach of insurance contract claims are common in federal court. Moreover, it is fairly routine for a plaintiff to continue to receive medical treatment throughout discovery in cases arising from a car accident. The parties must submit a discovery plan measuring discovery 180 days from the date of this Order. The Court will consider extensions of deadlines so long as the parties actively pursue discovery during the initial discovery period.

   Accordingly, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Joint Discovery Plan and Scheduling Order (ECF No. 18 ) is DENIED.

   IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the parties must submit a revised discovery plan and scheduling order that complies with the instructions above within 14 days from the date of this Order.
