MINUTE ORDER issued on 8/4/2026 by the Courtroom Deputy for District Judge Dena M. Coggins: On 3/6/2026, the parties filed a 49 Joint Pretrial Statement, but that Statement does not comply with certain requirements of Local Rule 281 and Judge Coggins's [42-1] Standing Order. The court draws the parties' attention to the requirement that special factual information "shall be specified within either the disputed or undisputed fact sections as appropriate," including any prior injury or condition worsened; periods of hospitalization; medical expenses and estimated future medical expenses; annual, monthly, or weekly earnings before the incident; earnings loss to date and estimated diminution of future earnings power; general damages; and punitive damages. See Local Rule 281(b)(6). Further, Defendant is reminded that the points of law section should list any affirmative defenses that remain for trial. See Local Rule 281(b)(8); (Doc. No. 42-1 at 7.) In addition, Plaintiff's Exhibit List includes "impeachment materials/exhibits" and references to medical records without any identifying information such as Bates numbers or date ranges. Plaintiff is reminded that exhibits must be identified with a reasonable amount of detail. (See Doc. No. 42-1 at 7.) Accordingly, by no later than 1/22/2027, the parties shall file an Amended Joint Pretrial Statement that cures the deficiencies identified in this Order. Further, a Final Pretrial Conference is SET for 3/5/2027 at 1:30 PM in in Courtroom 10 before District Judge Dena M. Coggins and a Jury Trial is SET for 5/3/2027 at 9:00 AM in Courtroom 10 before District Judge Dena M. Coggins. At the Final Pretrial Conference, the court will set deadlines to file trial documents, including motions in limine, trial briefs, and proposed jury voir dire, instructions, and verdict forms (where applicable). Any requests to continue the Final Pretrial Conference or trial date must be supported by a showing of good cause. (Text Only Entry) (Deputy Clerk CRS)
