MINUTES OF Motion Hearing held before Judge Dolly M. Gee RE: Motion for Summary Judgment as to Sole Remaining Claim for Carmack Amendment Liability filed by Defendant Steam Logistics, LLC 66 ; Motion for Partial Summary Judgment filed by Plaintiff James Worldwide, Inc. 68 . The Court invites counsel to respond to the tentative ruling on the Cross-Motions for Summary Judgment. Following oral argument, the Court advises counsel that the motions are taken under submission and a written order will issue. Given Plaintiff's failure to provide its initial disclosures and its production of documents at the end of the discovery period, the Court offered Defendant Steam Logistics the opportunity to reopen discovery for the sole and limited purpose of deposing Hazel Kim. Defendant shall notify the Court by no later than 8/14/2026 whether it wishes to do so. The Court urges the parties to redouble their efforts to resolve the case through mediation. The Court extends the settlement conference completion deadline to 8/27/2026, the deadline for filing of pretrial documents to 9/8/2026, and the deadline for oppositions to motions in limine to 9/15/2026.
