Order on Motion to Serve
ORDER denying without prejudice 15 Motion to Serve. The Court is in receipt of Plaintiffs' letter-motion for alternative service on Defendant Thomas A. Farinella. (Dkt. No. 15). Plaintiffs seek leave to serve Farinella (1) by means of email to the email address listed on Farinella's law firm website; and (2) by means of nail-and mail service at the building that houses Farinella's office suite. (Id. at 2). Plaintiffs' letter motion is DENIED without prejudice. As further set forth herein, Plaintiffs therefore have not, at this juncture, adequately shown that they should be permitted to serve Farinella through either of their proposed methods of service. Plaintiffs may re-file their letter-motion if they are able to put forth sufficient factual and legal support to show that the proposed methods of alternative service comport with due process. The Court sua sponte extends Plaintiffs' time to effect service to October 15, 2026. SO ORDERED. (Signed by Magistrate Judge Gary Stein on 9/2/2026) (ar)
