MINUTES OF Final Pretrial Conference held before Judge R. Gary Klausner: As more fully reflected on the record, Court and counsel confer re trial and procedural matters including scheduling and voir dire. The parties shall jointly submit a short statement of the case comprising no more than 1-2 sentences well before trial. Each day, prior to commencement of trial, the party calling witnesses to testify shall provide the Court with an informal witness list in the order each witness is to be called. The Court informs counsel that it intends to impose time limits of 2.5 hours of examination per side. Time limits will be confirmed on the first day of trial. As more fully reflected on the record, the Court tentatively rules on the following motions in limine: PMIL 1 to Exclude All References to Plaintiff's Prior Criminal Record, Arrest Records, Juvenile Records, Probation Status, or Ankle Monitor 55 - GRANTED. PMIL 2 to Exclude All References to the Recovered Ghost Gun and Unloaded Magazine Not Linked to Plaintiff 56 - GRANTED. DMIL 1 to Exclude All References to Other Incidents 52 - GRANTED. DMIL 2 to Bifurcate the trial 53 - GRANTED.DMIL 3 to Exclude all references to an Internal Affairs Investigation 54 - GRANTED.The parties are encouraged to engage in further settlement talks and shall inform the clerk if a settlement conference before the assigned Magistrate Judge is desired.
