TEXT ORDER: Taking into account the arguments made at the March 14, 2024 fairness hearing, and because no parties filed any objections, the Court GRANTS final approval of the [263-1] Settlement Agreement. The Court certifies the class, class representatives, and class counsel as previously identified. See Order &para &para 5, 7-8, ECF No. 265. The Court finds that the settlement between Plaintiffs and the Settling Defendants constitutes a good faith settlement under R.I. Gen. Laws § 23-17.14-35. The Court also GRANTS Plaintiffs' Counsel's 264 Motion for Attorneys' Fees in Connection with Settlement with the Diocesan Defendants. So Ordered by District Judge William E. Smith on 3/18/2024.
