A pair of rulings from an administrative board has gutted the language in a patent covering antenna technology that had been at issue in a web of dismissed lawsuits in Texas.

The Patent Trial and Appeal Board ruled Thursday that although the Fintiv test counsels against considering a challenge to a Dali Wireless Inc. antenna patent due to upcoming Texas infringement trials, review is warranted because petitioner CommScope Technologies LLC made "compelling" invalidity arguments.
