PAPERLESS ORDER. THIS CAUSE came before the Court upon the Parties' Joint Status Report. 79 . Therein, the Parties request that the stay of this case be extended for another sixty (60) days because of the recently filed petitions for rehearing en banc filed in connection with the D.C. Circuit's decision in Center for Biological Diversity v. Zeldin, D.C. Cir. Case Nos. 24-5101, 24-5156, 24-5159." (ECF No. 79) at 1. The Parties previously noted that if the D.C. Circuit's decision is upheld, this matter would be mooted. See (ECF No. 73) at 3. "The district court has broad discretion to stay proceedings as an incident to its power to control its own docket." Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, B.V. v. Consorcio Barr S.A., 377 F.3d 1164, 1172 n.7 (11th Cir. 2004) (quoting Clinton v. Jones, 520 U.S. 681, 706 (1997)). The length of the requested stay will not be indefinite or immoderate. See Ortega Trujillo v. Conover & Co. Commc'ns, 221 F.3d 1262, 1264 (11th Cir. 2000). Accordingly, UPON CONSIDERATION of the Joint Status Report, the pertinent portions of the record, and being otherwise fully advised of the premises, it is hereby ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that this case is stayed for a period of 180 days from the date of this Order. It is FURTHER ORDERED that the Parties shall file a status report proposing further proceedings and seeking such other relief, such as a motion to extend the stay or to dismiss any claims as moot, on or before March 8, 2027.
