Order on Motion to Reopen Case Order on Motion to Amend / Correct / Modify / Supplement Order on Motion for Miscellaneous Relief
TEXT ORDER. Plaintiff's Motion to Reopen Case, File Amended Complaint, and Waive Duplicate Filing Fees (Doc. 80) is DENIED. Plaintiff seeks to reopen this action pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 60(b)(1). (Doc. 80 at 1-2). Specifically, Plaintiff argues that her failure to timely file an amended complaint constitutes excusable neglect because "[t]his dispute has been fragmented by the Clerk into seven separate active federal dockets, creating extreme logistical confusion." (Id. at 1). Though this is one of several cases filed in this Court by either Plaintiff or one of her relatives seeking the same relief, this is no fault of the Court. Plaintiff and her relatives have independently filed these separate actions. See Washington v. Primerica Life Ins. Co., No. 8:25-cv-01080-TPB-AEP (M.D. Fla. Apr. 25, 2025) (closed); Washington v. Primerica Life Ins. Co., No. 8:25-cv-01123-WFJ-SPF (M.D. Fla. May 1, 2025); Washington v. Primerica Life Ins. Co., No. 8:25-cv-01124-KKM-LSG (M.D. Fla. May 1, 2025) (closed); Washington v. Primerica Life Ins. Co., No. 8:25-cv-01122-MSS-SPF (M.D. Fla. May 1, 2025); DeBose v. Primerica Life Insurance Company, No. 8:24-cv-02433-SDM-NHA (M.D. Fla. Oct. 21, 2024) (closed); Washington et al v. Justice et al, No. 8:25-cv-00400-WFJ-AEP (M.D. Fla. Feb. 18, 2025) (closed); Harris v. Primerica Life Insurance Company et al, No. 8:25-cv-01121-WFJ-SPF (M.D. Fla. May 1, 2025) (closed); Washington v. Primerica Life Insurance Company, No. 8:25-cv-01123-WFJ-SPF (M.D. Fla. May 1, 2025). Several of the cases are closed and, in those that remain open, Plaintiff is not listed as a party. Thus, this does not constitute excusable neglect. Plaintiff's 80 Motion to Reopen Case is DENIED. Signed by Judge John L. Badalamenti on 6/9/2026. (SV)
