Swiss Manufacturer Can't Beat £4.3M Award In Pension Row

Law360, London (January 3, 2019, 9:15 PM GMT) -- A judge in the United Kingdom has blocked a request from a Swiss-based manufacturing company seeking to appeal her decision requiring it to pay £4.3 million ($5.43 million) to the trustees of its employee pension scheme, concluding the company’s petition has no prospect of success.

Master Julia Clark has refused permission for Pelikan Hardcopy Production AG, which makes printer cartridges, to appeal her ruling in September granting summary judgment to Caribonum Pension Trust Ltd.
