Calif. Tribe Urges 9th Circ. Rethink In Leadership Dispute

Law360 (January 4, 2019, 6:29 PM EST) -- A faction of the California Valley Miwok Tribe urged the Ninth Circuit on Friday to reconsider its decision to uphold the dismissal of the group's suit challenging a U.S. Department of the Interior ruling on a tribal leadership dispute, saying the death of the leader of a rival faction means the fight has ended in its favor.
