Property Developers Step Up Appellate Fight Against Barclays

Law360, London (January 29, 2019, 9:48 PM GMT) -- Two property development companies urged the Court of Appeal on Tuesday to revive their conspiracy claims against Barclays, arguing that a lower-court judge failed to factor in allegations of deliberate misrepresentation and the omission of several key facts.

Elite Property Holdings Ltd. and Decolace Properties Ltd are seeking to overturn a ruling by High Court Judge David Waksman in July 2017 that struck down their conspiracy claims against Barclays Bank PLC, concluding that the allegations had been inadequately pleaded.
