XL Insurance Wins Disclosure Order In €4M Premiums Dispute

Law360, London (February 8, 2019, 7:13 PM GMT) -- A London judge gave permission on Friday for XL Insurance Co. SE to demand information from the accountants of an underwriting firm it is suing for more than €4 million ($4.5 million), after the firm failed to comply with previous orders requiring it to hand over the documents.

Judge Stephen Phillips said at a hearing at the High Court that he was "entirely satisfied" that XL Insurance was entitled to seek disclosure from Harold Sharp, the tax advisers and accountants of Ipors Underwriting Ltd. and its director Paul Corcoran.
