Shipper, Danish Dairy Settle Claim Over Ruined Cream Cheese

Law360, London (April 1, 2019, 6:01 PM BST) -- Shipping giant MSC has settled a lawsuit brought against it in London by a Danish dairy giant and its insurer over the destruction of thousands of cartons of cream cheese that were wrongly subjected to sub-zero temperatures while en route to Libya.

The claim for damages, which was brought against MSC Mediterranean Shipping Co. by Arla Foods amba, Scandinavia’s largest producer of dairy products, has been stayed in the High Court after the parties agreed to terms set out in a confidential agreement on March 20.
