British Airways Settles Pension Suit Ahead Of Supreme Court

Law360, London (April 9, 2019, 1:55 PM BST) -- British Airways PLC said Tuesday it has settled a multimillion-pound dispute over its pension scheme contributions, ending a six-year legal battle with the fund’s trustees and avoiding a final confrontation at the Supreme Court in London.

The trustee directors of the Airways Pension Scheme, who had been pushing for the national carrier to pump another £12 million ($15.7 million) into the 24,000-member fund, confirmed they have agreed to an out-of-court settlement with the airline.
