Ex-RBS Staffer Rebuked As Discrimination Case Tossed

Law360, London (May 1, 2019, 3:26 PM BST) -- A claim for unfair dismissal and disability discrimination against Royal Bank of Scotland has been struck out by an employment judge, who ruled that the former member of staff at the lender had deliberately delayed his case and made a fair trial impossible.

Employment Judge Lorna Findlay threw out the claim in the long-running case brought by Shah Baber, a former expert complaints handler at RBS, at the employment tribunal in the Midlands city of Birmingham.

Baber, whose role at RBS was terminated in September 2013, filed a claim against the bank in December that year. But the case became bogged down...
