VTB Bank Unit Fights Share Sale Conspiracy Suit In London

Law360, London (May 7, 2019, 8:50 PM BST) -- The London subsidiary of Russian lender VTB Bank on Tuesday asked a London court not to allow a claim brought against it and several other companies over a disputed sale of shares in a telecoms company, saying the action was not authorized and is an abuse of jurisdictional rights.

VTB Capital PLC is fighting allegations from LIC Telecommunications SARL, a Luxembourg company owned by Russian businessman Dmity Kosarev, that the bank conspired to rig a share sale to end LICT's control of the Bulgarian telecommunications industry.
