Insurers Settle $323K Fishing Death Coverage Fight
Law360, London (May 17, 2019, 5:47 PM BST) -- Insurers Dual Australia and QBE Insurance have settled a £253,000 ($323,000) dispute over the cost of indemnifying an Australian fishing company following an investigation into the death of a sailor on the high seas seven years ago, according to court documents.
According to a May 9 order by the High Court in London, by mutual consent the insurers have sidelined the dispute after reaching a settlement, the terms of which were not available Friday.
