Insurer Allianz Blocked Fraudsters From Stealing £30M

Law360, London (September 2, 2019, 4:23 PM BST) -- Allianz has prevented fraudsters from conning it out of approximately £30 million ($36 million) in the first half of 2019, the insurance group has said.

Allianz Insurance PLC said Friday that its fraud teams have intercepted and stopped more than £29.6 million of suspicious claims in the six months until June — up from the £22.7 million that the group saved on fraudulent claims in the first half of 2018.
