Broker Blames Steelmaker's Safety Issues For Insurance Woes

Law360, London (September 25, 2019, 12:53 PM BST) -- An insurance broker has refused to reimburse a construction company for costs from a personal injury lawsuit, instead blaming the maker of steel products for failing to disclose a history of safety warnings.

Essex-based LLJ Associates defended itself in a Sept. 19 filing at the High Court in London, claiming the company, F Brazil Reinforcements, failed to disclose the health and safety warnings it had received from an industry watchdog when it took out an insurance policy through the broker.
