Warehouse Hit By Fire Says Insurer Lacked Competence

Law360, London (September 25, 2019, 7:23 PM BST) -- An English warehouse business has accused its insurance broker of negligence for failing to assess its coverage needs before a fire broke out in one of its buildings, causing significant damage.

Masters Logistical Services said that Priory Insurance Brokers “failed to conduct any adequate review” of the “likely insurance requirements” for the warehouse company. The brokerage also failed to make sure that its client’s policy didn’t have gaps in coverage, according to the newly public suit professional negligence claim filed in the High Court on Sept. 11.
