Waste Co. Wins £1.2M Judgment Over Fire Insurance Dispute

Law360, London (November 4, 2019, 4:47 PM GMT) -- A British insurer must pay a recycling company £1.24 million ($1.6 million) to settle a closely-watched lawsuit launched in the aftermath of a blaze at a plant in northern England, a judge has said.

Millennium Insurance Company Ltd. will also have to pick up the £410,000 bill for legal fees run up by Wheeldon Brothers Waste Ltd. after years of litigation over a fire at the Greater Manchester-based company's plant, according to a judgment at the High Court in London.
