Global Insurance Watchdog Pushes For Climate Disclosure

Law360, London (December 19, 2019, 3:49 PM GMT) -- A global standard-setting body for the insurance industry set out plans on Thursday for new rules that will govern how insurers should publicly disclose their performance on environmental and social measures, as part of a move toward a green economy.

The International Association of Insurance Supervisors has published a proposal for how national watchdogs should implement recommendations from the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, or TCFD.
