Dentons Owes Docs In Gold Investing Scheme, Investors Say

Law360, London (January 27, 2020, 3:42 PM GMT) -- A predecessor of Dentons Europe LLP missed “obvious” warning signs that a client was running a bogus scheme to invest in gold dust and ended up legitimizing the alleged fraud, a lawyer for investors suing the law firm told a London court on Monday.

Attorneys for Salans LLP "lent respectability" to the now-defunct company by issuing official letters to reassure investors that a big-city firm was examining the investment plan, Thomas Munby,  an attorney for the investors, told the High Court.
