Insurer Direct Line Buys Insurance Tech Start-Up

Law360, London (July 16, 2020, 2:14 PM BST) -- British insurance firm Direct Line said Thursday it has inked a deal to acquire a new London-based start-up company that focuses on online personal cover as it seeks to become a leader in the move toward greater use of technology in the sector.

Direct Line Group said it has reached an agreement to acquire Brolly, a London-based company that offers flexible insurance products for the digital generation. Direct Line did not disclose the terms of the deal.
