Charity Regulator Says Most Fundraising Reports Fall Short
Law360, London (September 15, 2020, 7:04 PM BST) -- A review into how charities are complying with fundraising reporting requirements has revealed that only 21% of reports submitted complied with all six of the requirements, according to the Fundraising Regulator.
The regulator said Monday that although very few met all the requirements, this is only the second year they have had to report in this manner.
The requirements, which are part of the Charities (Protection and Social Investment) Act 2016, cover aspects of their fundraising work, such as regulation, vulnerable people and complaint numbers.
