Office Co.'s Counsel Must Produce Docs In 'Easy' IP Fight

Law360, London (September 30, 2020, 10:04 PM BST) -- A London judge ruled Wednesday that the legal director for office giant IWG PLC should produce evidence in a long-running trademark dispute between the parent company for easyJet and IWG over the name "easyoffice," despite IWG's contention that most of his documents would be protected by attorney-client privilege.

High Court Judge Francesca Kaye sided with claimant easyGroup Ltd. in making her decision, after counsel for IWG PLC conceded that there was no other person at IWG, Regus Group Ltd. and one other company that might have relevant documents related to the contentious trademark dispute between the parties.
