Insurance Websites Must Tackle Customer Risks, Says FCA

Law360, London (November 17, 2020, 12:19 PM GMT) -- The Financial Conduct Authority has urged price-comparison websites that cover the insurance market to take steps to prevent customers from facing unnecessary risk or landing themselves in trouble.

The rapid growth of such websites in the market has encouraged consumers to shop around, but it has also led to an increased focus on factors such as pricing, the FCA said. The regulator warned that this practice could drive consumers to buy products that might not always meet their needs.
