Property Biz Fights To Avoid Deal Payout Over Listing Limits

By Joanne Faulkner (September 9, 2021, 8:01 PM BST) -- The buyers of a property business argued on appeal Thursday they were kept in the dark about prohibitions in membership contracts with listing websites Rightmove and Zoopla that have hit the financial health of the company since the sale.

Kyle Lawson, representing the buyers of property letting company BPG, urged the Court of Appeal to overturn a December summary judgment handed down from the High Court concerning the proper interpretation of the standard terms and conditions of agreements with the well-known listing sites in a fight over the remaining payout from the deal.
