Oil Storage Co. Drops $3.7M Negligence Claim Against HFW

By Joel Poultney (May 11, 2022, 4:57 PM BST) -- An oil storage company has agreed to drop its negligence claim against Holman Fenwick Willan LLP over allegedly incorrect advice the law firm gave in a failed construction deal.

Judge Timothy Bowles said at the High Court that Oiltanking GmbH and HFW had both consented to the dismissal. Judge Bowles made no order for costs in his decision on April 27, which has now been made public.

The judge did not explain why the case was dismissed.

Representatives for both parties declined to comment on the order on Wednesday.
