Record Drop In Home Insurance Bills, But FCA Effect Looms

By Dawood Fakhir (May 12, 2022, 2:41 PM BST) -- An insurance trade body said on Thursday that the cost of home insurance had fallen to a four-year low, but warned that it is too early to know what effect the Financial Conduct Authority's pricing reforms will have on the market.

The Association of British Insurers said its latest research on how much consumers pay for their policies found that average premiums for buildings insurance and contents cover were at their lowest for 10 years in the first quarter of 2022.
