Gov't Mulls Extending Scope Of Pension Investment Pathways

By Martin Croucher (June 14, 2022, 1:30 PM BST) -- The government said Tuesday that it is considering simplifying the options available for Britons approaching retirement, in a move that experts say would standardize regulations across the whole market.

The Department for Work and Pensions said it wanted to know if measures already in place for contract-based retirement plans were also appropriate for trust-based schemes.

Commentators in the sector said the consultation shines a light on the complicated, dual system of pension regulation in the U.K.
