The state of Colorado sued the U.S. Department of Justice in federal court on Tuesday for imposing a set of immigration-related conditions on the receipt of $2.7 million in federal public safety funds, arguing that the rules requiring cooperation between local officials and federal immigration authorities are unconstitutional.
