MINUTE ORDER IN CHAMBERS of the Honorable Magistrate Judge Brenda Weksler on 8/21/2026. Before this Court is the parties' proposed discovery plan and scheduling order ("DPSO"). ECF No. 9 . The parties request the standard period of 180 days for discovery. Id. at 2. Under LR 26-1(b), the 180-day period is calculated from the date the first defendant answers or appears. Here, Defendant filed its Answer on 6/30/2026. ECF No. 2. The schedule proposed by the parties does not reflect a 180-day discovery period from this date. ECF No. 9 at 3. Accordingly, the DPSO is DENIED. The parties must refile a proposed DPSO with correctly calculated dates by 8/28/2026. If the parties desire a discovery period longer than 180 days from the date of Defendant's answer, they must comply with the requirements set forth by LR 26-1(a).(no image attached) (Copies have been distributed pursuant to the NEF - MAD)
