Order on Motion for Service
ORDER denying 8 Motion for Service. Instead of denying the Plaintiff's motion for alternate service because it was filed without the draft order required by Me. R. Civ. P. 4(g)(1), I gave the Plaintiff the opportunity to submit a draft order. See ECF No. 9. In doing so, I specified that the draft order must have all the contents required by Me. R. Civ. P. 4(g)(2). See id. The Plaintiff has now filed a draft order titled "ORDER GRANTING MOTION FOR ALTERNATE METHOD OF SERVICE PURSUANT TO RULE 4(d)(1)." ECF No. 10. But in addition to citing the wrong subsection of Me. R. Civ. P. 4, the draft order also fails to include all the contents required by Me. R. Civ. P. 4(g)(2). For these reasons, the Plaintiff's motion is DENIED. If the Plaintiff wishes to renew its motion, it must submit a draft order for service by alternate means that complies with Me. R. Civ. P. 4(g)(2). By MAGISTRATE JUDGE KAREN FRINK WOLF. (MGW)
