Joseph Severi, David Seidel, Kevin Rahill, Jason Scott Hartley and Van Davis Turner, Jr. appeared for the Plaintiffs.
Matthew Mulqueen, Ryan Andrews, Katherine Kelly Fell, Brendan P. Gaffney and Nicole Berkowitz Riccio appeared for the Defendants.
Also present were Kendall Zylstra from Angeion Group, the Court-Appointed Settlement Administrator, and Richard Shultz who represents the Intervenor, State of Illinois.
The Court and the parties discussed the distribution of settlement funds. The deadline for cashing current distribution checks is 9/23/2026 (180 days post-distribution). Plaintiffs' counsel and Angeion Group will send written reminder notices and initiate phone outreach to all 313 uncashed check recipients. Angeion is resolving a subset of class members who previously missed deficiency notices; final numbers for this group will be finalized by 8/19/2026. The anticipated full closure/accounting date from Settlement Administrator is 11/11/2026.
Status Conference via Teams video set for Friday, 12/4/2026 at 1:30 PM before Chief Judge Sheryl H. Lipman. The deadline for all parties to submit position papers or proposed distribution plans for remaining uncashed funds is noon on 12/2/2026.
