ORDER: In light of the Court's 07/14/2026 Scheduling Order, the Court adjourns the 08/19/2026 deadline for Plaintiffs to file a brief outlining their damages sine die. (See 05/22/2026 Dkt. Order; 07/14/2026 Dkt. Order.) Ordered by Judge Pamela K. Chen on 7/14/2026. (ABB)
Scheduling Order
SCHEDULING ORDER: The Court is in receipt of Plaintiffs' 173 Letter Requesting a Telephonic Conference and 174 Motion for Leave to File Documents Under Seal. The Court grants Plaintiffs' request in part, and will hold the requested conference via video instead of telephonically. The Court will hold the conference on October 26, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. The Court will send the parties the Zoom link in advance of the conference. The public may listen in via telephone at +1 646 828 7666, Meeting ID: 165 397 5689, Passcode: 546713. The Court will discuss sealing protocols at the conference.
In anticipation of the conference, the Court directs Plaintiffs to submit a letter, not to exceed 10 pages, explaining: (1) the legal authority—including any controlling authority—that would allow the Court to rely on Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act ("FSIA") awards to calculate damages under the Anti-Terrorism-Acts; (2) how Plaintiffs plan to provide evidence on a "rolling basis" and under what timeline this process would proceed; and (3) how Plaintiffs plan to provide evidence for the approximately 420 Plaintiffs that have not obtained final judgments in FSIA proceedings. Plaintiffs shall file this letter by September 28, 2026. Ordered by Judge Pamela K. Chen on 7/14/2026. (ABB)
