Rule 26f - Joint
TEXT ORDER The parties have filed a Joint Rule 26(f) Report, Docket Entry 15 , that provides for the complex discovery track, but requests eight months of discovery. The complex track only provides six months of discovery. While the exceptional track provides nine months, "[t]his management track is reserved for cases of exceptional complexity. It is not to be used for ordinary federal cases even though such cases have some complexity and require significant discovery." M.D.N.C. Local Rule 26.1(a)(3). Accordingly, the parties shall file within seven days of entry of this Order an amended Rule 26(f) report with specific facts justifying the exceptional track or adjusting the dates to comport with the standard or complex tracks. In the meantime, the Court cancels the Initial Pretrial Conference Hearing set for 8/19/2026 at 9:30 AM. Issued by MAG/JUDGE JOANNA GIBSON MCFADDEN on August 18, 2026.(jmg)
