Order on Motion to Show Cause
ORDER: The 13 Motion for Extension of Time to Effectuate Service is GRANTED. The plaintiff's motion indicates that she, through her attorney and a professional process server, has attempted to serve the Defendants on at least three occasions. ECF No. 13 at 2; ECF No. 13-1 at 1. The plaintiff's motion further indicates that she has continued to investigate and research alternative addresses for both Defendants and is in the process of verifying that address before hiring a professional process server for another attempt at service. I find that there is good cause for the failure to serve the Defendants thus far, and under Fed. R. Civ. P. 4(m) will permit the plaintiff a 45-day extension of time to effectuate service on Defendants. Plaintiff shall file proofs of service no later than October 5, 2026. Signed by Judge Michael P Shea on 8/20/2026. (RR)
