TEXT ORDER directing supplemental jurisdictional information. The Court must assure itself of subject-matter jurisdiction before adjudicating the merits of the pending motion. The existing allegations do not adequately establish the citizenship of Plaintiff HWH Transport, LLC, because they do not identify each member. (DE 3.) Plaintiff states that all members are citizens of Florida but does not identify them per the Local Rule 26.01 interrogatories. Accordingly, within seven (7) days, Plaintiff shall file a jurisdictional statement identifying each member of HWH Transport, LLC, when this action was commenced in this Court. Plaintiff shall trace the citizenship of each member under the applicable jurisdictional rules. See C. W. Virginia Energy Co., Inc. v. Mt. State Carbon, LLC, 636 F.3d 101, 103 (4th Cir. 2011) (the citizenship of a limited liability company is determined by the citizenship of all its members). Defendants may file a response within seven (7) days after Plaintiff files its jurisdictional statement. The Court DEFERS RULING on Defendants' Motion to Dismiss (DE 14). That motion shall remain pending and is HELD IN ABEYANCE until the Court determines whether subject-matter jurisdiction exists. No additional merits briefing shall be filed absent leave of Court.
