Docket Text ORDER: Defendant Select Comfort Retail Corporation informed the Court that it filed "Chapter 11 Voluntary Petitions for Bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court." Doc. 34 at 1. Select Comfort also indicates that, "[p]ursuant to 11 U.S.C. §362(a), the foregoing bankruptcy filings operate as a stay of this action." Id. While an automatic stay appears to apply to Select Comfort under that provision, it is less clear that the company's Chapter 11 petitions automatically stay proceedings as to the other parties in this action. To the extent any party has authority for that proposition, they must show cause why the Court should not proceed with the case as to all Defendants other than Select Comfort in a memorandum not to exceed 5 pages and no later than August 5, 2026.
