(In Chambers) Order by Judge Stanley Blumenfeld, Jr.: Plaintiffs have filed a renewed motion for alternative service (Dkt. No. 47) that does not fully cure the deficiencies the Court identified in its previous order (Dkt. No. 37). The evidence does not show that Plaintiffs made attempts to serve Defendants Wild Pitch, Stuart Fine, or Frozen Soap Music after August, when the "subject" was to return from vacation. Dkt. No. 37 at 2. Nor have Plaintiffs attempted to serve Defendant Antoinette Colandreo since July 13, 2026. Moreover, Plaintiffs do not propose a specific method of alternative service for the international Defendants that complies with applicable international agreements. The Court therefore denies the motion. Any renewed motion must specifically address the issues raised in the Court's previous order, explain the further attempts made at service, identify email addresses to the extent Plaintiffs seek service through electronic means, and provide a sufficient basis for the Court to conclude that alternative service is appropriate. This action was removed on July 29, 2026. The deadline to serve domestic Defendants is October 27, 2026. See Esebag v. Whaley, No. 2:18-cv-08446-JAK, 2018 WL 8131221, at *3 (C.D. Cal.
